Gift Ideas Beginner Bloggers Really Want

It is that time of year already. Time to start thinking about what to buy your family and friends for the Christmas season.

I love Christmas time. I remember growing up, my parents always made sure that we were made to feel special. We did our Christmas celebrations a bit differently from most families.

We would spend Christmas Eve with my mom’s side of the family. My grandma always made this hot beef and we would eat sandwiches and homemade chocolates and everything in between. We would open our gifts, making sure to go one person at a time so that everyone could see what everyone else got. We would then head to Christmas mass in the evening on the way home.

Christmas Day morning was spent at home eating a nice breakfast. This is where our Christmas differs from others. We didn’t open our gifts in the morning. We would get ready to go and spend mid-morning until late afternoon at my dad’s side. We would eat there and open gifts as a family there as well.

Christmas night was my favourite. After we would spend the afternoon at my grandparent’s, we would come home and get ready to have our own family Christmas. I remember my dad making peach pie, turning on Christmas music and all of us sitting down. Whoever was chosen that year would pass out the gifts and we would all take our time opening one at a time while eating pie and listening to the Christmas music in the background.

I loved every second of Christmas. As I look back on it, I love that my parents made it so special and I hope my kids have the same memories (we do have our traditions) when they look back at this time of year.

When We Just Don't Know What To Buy Someone

We all have those people in our lives. The ones that we just don’t know what to buy for them because it seems like they already have EVERYTHING. I know that I have a couple of them in my life and it can be so frustrating.

I do, however, love gift guides because they can spark my imagination and give me ideas that I never even thought of. With this gift guide, I want to focus oto n beginner bloggers and the women in your life who have talked about starting a blog but have not yet done so.

These women will have different requests than even I have and so I wanted to share with you, the best gift ideas that I could come up with for beginner and wannabe bloggers.

The Gift Guide For Beginner Bloggers

I love buying gifts for people. I think it is how I show love to those around me. Watching someone unwrap a gift that I have specifically picked out for them fills me with joy. I want them to know that this gift had lots of thought and intention put into it before I took the time to wrap it. (Because my wrap jobs do not show how beautiful the thought is. HAHAHAHAHA!!)

Okay okay!!! I will not make you wait any longer for this gift guide. After all, I know that is why you are here! For some of the gifts on this list, I will receive an affiliate fee. At no extra cost to you, I will be compensated for you using the links that I share. These products or services are ones that I use and recommend often. Thank you for your support.

Gift Idea #1| Blogfluent: Laying the Foundation For Your Successful Blog

Of course, this has to be the first gift that I share with you because I AM SO EXCITED!!! My book officially goes live on December 1!!!!! I don’t even know if I can show you how excited I am. The price through me is $15 ($10 for the book and $5 for shipping). You will also get 2 freebies included and sent to you as well as a signed copy of the book.

What is Blogfluent about? Here is the book blurb…

Blogfluent will show you how to share your story in a way that is simple and organized. It will walk you through the beginning stages of starting a blog so that you can begin to make an impact the way that you have imagined.

You will walk away with a clear plan of how to begin, grow and simplify the blogging process. The systems in this book are unique teachings brought to you by Samantha Laycock. Throughout her years of blogging, she has created and implemented these techniques with her blog. Now you can do the same as she walks you through each step as if you are sitting right next to her.

Gift idea #2| Year subscription to Canva

If there is any way that we can make creating graphics easier for any blogger, it is using Canva. You do not need to be a graphic designer to create beautifully designed graphics that will match your brand and your blog.

I love Canva because they have premade graphics that you can use and just change the colours and words. If you are brave enough, you can even create graphics from scratch. The options are endless when it comes to Canva. As a blogger and a creative content creator, I use Canva multiple times a day for all of my clients.

Gift idea #3| A laptop.

This is on my Christmas list this year as my computer cord started on fire a couple of weeks ago. I feel like that could be a whole separate blog post. That computer was a gift from my husband back in 2015 after I had been blogging for a year. It was so thoughtful and appreciated. It was one of the best gifts I have ever received. (Besides the beautiful desk that he also surprised me with one year!)

There are two computers that I am looking at purchasing to help me continue to blog. I will come right out and say that I am not an Apple person. I do not use Apple products and I have never been a fan of them so if you are, I can’t recommend what to purchase because I don’t know anything about them.

Laptop #1 is Acer Aspire R15. I love the look of this laptop. I love that it is flexible and can also be used as a tablet. It makes taking it with you much easier. I won’t go into all of the specs of the computer in this blog post but to read more on it, you can go here. I will say that I do love that it has a touchscreen display on it.

Laptop #2 is Asus Zenbook 13. Just the name of this computer makes me want to buy it. It automatically calms me down. BAHAHAHAH. This laptop has military-grade durability which is a phenomenal feature to have. Let’s face it, we aren’t always the easiest on our laptops.

Again, I am not going to go into all of the computer's specs, but to read more on it, you can go here.

Purchasing a laptop for your future and current blogger is a great way to show them that you support what they are doing.

Gift idea #4| Flodesk

The idea of email marketing can be overwhelming for some. I know that it isn’t my favourite thing to do but Flodesk has helped me create such beautiful email newsletters and opt-in forms for my website.

Getting your ideal audience on an email list is so important for your growth as a blogger. Flodesk makes it easy and all of the designs are beautiful and can be customized.

By using my Flodesk affiliate link, you will save money and help your blogger start to build up her email list.

Gift idea #5| A blog coaching program.

Do you know someone who is ready to start a blog but unsure of where to begin?

Do you know someone who has a blog but wants to build it in 2022?

Buying them a blogging course will give them a head start to ensure that they create a strong foundation.

I have a few different options for blog coaching programs that are starting in January 2022. January is the perfect time to start a new blog and start building that business that you have been thinking of.

The Blog to Heal program is a 20-week course that will help you share your story through blogging. We cover not only blogging but healing techniques to add to your everyday life to ensure that you are healing on a deeper level. I am not a counsellor but these techniques are what I used to help me heal from my sexual assault and learn to love who I am in the moment.

Build Your Blog program is a 4-week intensive that will help you build your blog from the ground up. Work with me as I show you how to easily set up and create the blog of your dreams. This course is intense and you will need to put the work in. Let me help you start your blog.

Creative Storytelling program is a 12-week program to learn all about sharing your story through your social media and blogging content. You have a story to share that will help to build, grow and connect your business with more people so it is time to use it.

If you are interested in purchasing any of these programs, please fill out the connection form so that I can get a sense of what you are needing and make sure that you purchase the correct program for you or your loved one.

Gift idea #6| Yoga

You may be asking yourself why this is on my list for bloggers. The thing is, we need a way to keep our creativity going and yoga is the perfect way to do just that. Yoga helps me focus and helps me live in the flow of my life.

I am going to shout out my new favourite yoga studio, SUP & Flow. She has brought SUP yoga to a whole new level when winter takes over Calgary. If you are looking for a way to build your creative power, now is the time to try yoga.

Your body may be sore for days after but it has revived so much within my life. To schedule a class with SUP & Flow, you can check out her schedule here. She is looking to also add online classes to her website so if that interests you, please let her know!

Gift idea #7| Blue light glasses

I love my blue light glasses. Staring at a computer screen for many parts of my day, my eyes can get so tired. There are so many fun options for blue light glasses now that can fit the personality of anyone that you are purchasing them for. Here are some great blue light glasses from Amazon.

Gift idea #8| Rocketbook

This is on my list as a gift idea. I love using paper but I know that it always isn’t the greatest for the environment. The Rocketbook is the solution. It offers a pen and paper experience while being reusable.

I want the orange one and can’t wait to add this to my arsenal of notebooks.

You can purchase the Rocketbook here. This link is an affiliate link of mine through Amazon. I will receive a small affiliate fee at no extra cost to you.

Gift idea #9| Books

Who doesn’t like books as a gift idea?!?! I love reading and I will always recommend books that I love. Here are a few of my favourites that you can purchase. Purchasing these books, you are using my affiliate link. I appreciate your purchase and I hope that whoever you give these books to will also love them.

Gift idea #10| Bloom

I have been searching for a CRM for a while now that I would just fall in love with. Bloom has done that for me. It is easy to use. It makes connecting with your clients so much easier. Plus it was designed for freelancers which makes it incredible.

I love that I can share graphic galleries with my social media clients.

I love that I can create an instant booking form.

I don’t think they offer an affiliate program, but I would recommend them to everyone I know.

That is my gift guide for beginners and wannabe bloggers. I hope that I have given you some fun and unique ideas for the blogger that is on your list. If you are ready to work with me on your creative content, let’s set up a connection call so that we can see how I can help you build your brand.
