As a blogger, we know what content is. We know that we need to create content consistently for our readers to continue visiting our site and to attract new readers. In a previous blog post, I spoke about different ways that you can reuse your content. This is sort of the same thing but strictly for your social media purposes.
I plan my content calendar around my blog posts. After all, I am a blogging coach and I want my followers to know what I do, who I am, who I serve, and what I am an expert in. Since I publish a blog post 3 times a week, that gives me another 4 days every week to keep my followers engaged with what I do and what I write.
I don’t want to just share my blog post on the day I publish it and then let my followers forget all about it. I need to create excitement for that post for 2-3 days to keep the momentum going.
I wanted to share with you how I break down my social media to focus on my blog posts and to focus on my expertise. Here is a video of me showing you my weekly content plan.
HOW TO CREATE YOUR CONTENT CALENDAR AROUND YOUR BLOG POSTS
As a blogger, you want to ensure that you are continuously showcasing your blog posts and your expertise. This is a great way to share your blog post on more than 1 day. If you don't blog as often as I do, you can spread out sharing your blog post over multiple days. Each day you can share your blog post on a different social media platform.
You want to use your social media to complement your blog posts. I hope that this video helps explain a bit more about how you can do just that. If you are ready to begin your own blog and get help setting up your social media accounts for that blog, sign up for the 7-week Blogology course. Let me help take you from idea to blog.
