Content is king. That was written by Bill Gates in 1996. It means that there is a bigger focus on content more than there ever has been. BUT there is more to it than just that.
Yes, creating content is important but do not feel like you have to continually create new and fresh content to make a difference. By taking your blog content and breaking it up for your different social media platforms means that you are being smart and reusing the content that you have already created.
We are all looking for ways to get our content in front of fresh eyes and more of our target market. Today I want to share with you 10 ways to reuse your content to stretch out that 1 blog post into many different social media outlets.
Reusing your blog content also helps to keep you from having to create new content every day. You can space out this content between blog posts as well so you are always sharing with your followers your blog posts.
REUSING YOUR BLOG CONTENT
Create a Facebook post that leads back to your website. Give your readers a taste of what they would be reading on your blog. You can create a post on your personal page as well as on your business page. This will help you to reach more readers.
Create an Instagram post that also will lead back to your website. Take a quote from your blog itself or another quote that resonates with you and share it with a pretty photo on your IG feed. Make sure to change your website URL in your profile every time you have a new blog post to share.
Create multiple Pinterest pins to add to your feed. This will help to get others to also share your pin. I create between 6-8 pins per blog post that I write and share them with the different Pinterest boards that I have on my feed. I am a part of a few group boards that I also add my blog posts to.
Create an email list and send your blog posts to the people on it. This is a great way to connect with those who want to read your blogs. Sometimes people don’t catch all your posts and this is a great way to get right in their inbox so they don’t miss any of them.
Create a downloadable opt-in with your blog post turned into a PDF. This can be a great way to build your email list as well as repurposing your old content. Everyone is looking for ways to learn and so is your audience. Teach them something with your PDF.
Republish an old blog post with an update. If you ever did a goals post or a 1001 goals list, an update is just what your readers want to hear. We all want to know if you accomplished what you wanted to. Revisit that list every 6 months.
Turn your blog post into a podcast episode. This is a great way to reach readers who may not have time to sit down and read all your posts. This allows them to listen to what you write about.
Create a course. This could use multiple blog posts depending on what you write about and what you want your course to be.
Create a webinar from a blog post or multiple blog posts. Again this could attract some awesome new clients who are curious about what you do.
Create an ebook. This could be a great income strategy or even used as an opt-in. I have an ebook that I will be using again as an opt-in for the future.
Those are the 10 ways to reuse your blogging content. I hope they helped. It is fun to look through your content and see which pieces will convert to different types of content. Which one are you going to try?
